Stanford launches new line of finishing equipment for shrink sleeves.

Salem, IL.

"…a line of equipment that not only out-produces anything else that is currently available in the market, but which also produces a seam of exceptional quality with incredibly low waste."

Séamus Lafferty, President, Stanford Products LLC

Stanford Products LLC has just announced its movement into the shrink sleeve marketplace with the launch of a new line of finishing equipment. During a recent open-house Stanford debuted its trademarked Seammachine™ and Doctor Machine Inspector™.

Boasting speeds up to 50% faster than the industry average, and with several new patent-pending designs, the Stanford seaming and inspection equipment is destined to revolutionize the production of shrink sleeves around the world.

At the end of a week in which many key producers of shrink sleeves – both domestic and foreign – converged on Stanford’s Salem, Illinois facility, Stanford’s president Mr. Séamus Lafferty spoke of his delight at the initial reaction of customers to the new line of equipment. "We began this project over a year ago in response to numerous requests from our existing customer base for Stanford-designed and Stanford-built seaming equipment", he said. "We committed a huge engineering effort to the project and collaborated closely with key people in the industry. The result of this work is a line of equipment that not only out-produces anything else that is currently available in the market but which also produces a seam of exceptional quality with incredibly low waste", he continued.

"The new equipment incorporates all the fundamentals that people have come to expect of Stanford equipment. The machines are of robust construction and include Stanford’s standard drive, controls and tension systems. The machines are built in our Salem factory, with spare parts and service available from the factory and from our global network of sales and service agents", he concluded.

Currently in its 62nd year serving the converting industry, Stanford also manufactures a full range of Doctor Machines® as well as a complete line of duplex differential slitter rewinders.

Stanford appoints TTEM S.A. de C.V. as Mexican Agent

(Salem, IL) US-based manufacturer of slitters and rewinders, Stanford Products LLC, has appointed TTEM S.A. de C.V. as its agent to cover all machine sales, spare parts and field-service support in Mexico.

Located in Mexico City, TTEM has served the converting and related industries since 1986. Well known as agents for such companies as AccuWeb, Boschert, Magpowr and Nim-Cor, TTEM has a sound reputation for providing excellent service and support. TTEM's president, Mr. Rogelio Valle Y H, stated: "we are excited to add the prestigious Stanford name to the list of agencies we currently hold for the Mexican market. The Stanford equipment is a natural fit for TTEM given that we already serve the converting industry in this marketplace. Our ability to service Stanford's equipment, and the fact that we stock spare parts, means that Mexican customers can depend on the highest level of support".

Announcing this latest agency agreement, Stanford's president Mr. Séamus Lafferty said: "Stanford has a substantial existing customer-base in Mexico. This local representation will allow us provide faster service to our existing customers while also facilitating the introduction of our product line to new customers. We are proud to have TTEM as our partners and working together we are eager to build upon our installed machine base in Mexico".

From its base in Salem, Illinois, Stanford has supplied the global converting industry for over 60 years. In addition to its trademarked line of Doctor Machines®, Stanford produces a full range of duplex differential slitter rewinders geared towards the converter of packaging films and film-laminates. The Stanford line of equipment has recently been expanded to include the new Roll-a-tek(TM) line of slitting and salvage rewinding equipment with its focus on providing Stanford service at affordable prices.
