C-P Flexible Packaging Takes Delivery of Stanford's New Generation 3038 Slitter/Rewinder
(Salem, IL) Stanford Products LLC recently completed the sale and delivery of their latest engineering exploit, the model 3038 Slitter/Rewinder, to C-P Flexible Packaging, York, PA.
C-P Flexible Packaging, formerly C-P Converters, is a national supplier of flexible packaging to the food and consumer products markets. According to Tony Vaudo, president and chief executive officer of C-P, "Stanford's new slitter design is a perfect fit for C-P's business mix. The unique capabilities of the 3038 will provide the impetus for penetration into new markets."

A duplex differential center wind slitter, the new model 3038 is particularly ergonomic and operator-friendly in design. It features four PLC based touch screens for convenient operation. In addition, it features two individually controlled telescoping roll pushers, the latest AC vector drives, superior tension control and remote monitoring capabilities. The machine accommodates up to 70" web widths, a 3000 lb roll weight on the unwind, and 24" - 32" rewind diameters at speeds to 2000 fpm. Specifications outside these standards are available.
A number of optional features are also available for the 3038, including a splice table; a driven unwind; automatic or semi-automatic knife positioning systems; remote monitoring and diagnostic systems; several roll handling devices and much more. Stanford will further customize the machine to meet customer-specific applications.
